So I need want another one, since I sold mine a while ago because I needed the money...

Now I have the chance of making (got enough free time/too greedy to buy it) or buying it (got enough money/I feel too lazy)...

Input pls ):

buy if you have the money. i lost more than a CK was worth in citrin from losing rock/paper/scissors so many times. and even winning that is only a 1/4 chance of getting the right weapon (and i got the worst of the 4 when i finally won).

aff no. what we figured out eventually is that the quest forks at one point, and which fork you get is random. you either get the combat knife / byeollungum(?) path, OR the brocca / tjungkeletti path. i got the latter. :/

If you understand anything about probability, the answer is painfully obvious.

Buy.

unfortunately i didn't know when i started. :/

i'd imagine it's a feasible alternative on 1x rate servers, where farming the bio 3 sniper mvp for a CK only yields a 35% success rate. but with our rates, the quest is (or can be) so unnecessarily expensive and time consuming that buying or camping for one really is the obvious choice.

I made 5 of them over the years. I never got the wrong weapon, and when I failed at paper, rock scissor, it was only a few times before I succeeded and got a ck each time.

Drsvss's experience is the outlier to the general population's. Making it is about as fun as having leeches on your dick; the probability is against you, and will eat up your money potentially as bad if not worse as just buying it would. Buy it when a good price arises imo, unless you're really lucky.

I've personally made one in the past, after a few week's worth of recollecting materials/attempting, and have tried again two other times at them and just failed because of getting the wrong quest. (The other fun part with that is that the npc will eat up the initial materials--- the emp anvil/20 gold/etc--- when it does that, too.) It all depends on luck.

I thought it would be more per try? What did you buy and what did you hunt?

*pokes with a rotten carrot*

I could help you hunt it if you need help.
If you knew me as Maybellene (Dancer/Gypsy) that wasn't me.
If you knew me as Nautica (Super Novice, S. Linker, Pally, Ninja, and G. Slinger) that's me.

rich people -> buy

poor people -> hunt

simple as that

hunting the ingredients took me like 2 weeks (not 100% dedication tho)
buying an emp anvil was also done in those 2 weeks

was 2 weeks worth it? no, but that was the only way i could have gotten a CK
theres no way people would take me in bio parties, or nor am I capable of killing LoD

it was fun tho, cuz I got to go to various places just to hunt for those ingredients
Nice change of scenery from the same old places where you grind

oh, and I didnt get a ck
the byeollongum doesnt even pay for the emp anvil lol

You could attempt it once just to see if you're lucky. I think I blew 10m trying it out. I failed to get the right set, though. If you're really lucky you could save some zeny.

considering how much CKs are sold at, you could theoretically fail the process a number of times and still come out ahead.  The only issue then is if you are buying the anvils the server will run dry of them quickly.

Each time you fail the paper, rock, and scissors game it takes one set of 30 ores, not all three sets. Even so, it still requires a lot of luck.
